Whining Employees

Is it just me, or does it seem utterly ridiculous that commission-paid employees are whining about how there is too much work?

I'm baffled.

I swear... I call work to ask the boss a question and I have to go through the 20 minute whine filter that is the office manager. My God... stop fucking crying and get to work already. Whenever I'm in the office 1 or 2 of them are not on the phone and usually chatting... obviously they're not that busy if they are chatting so much.

the watresses i work with(hooter girls) amaze me at times. during the summer and spring they make way more than us cooks, yet they complain when they have to do a little work other than what they normaly do. some don't have a problem but too many of them are either too lazy, feel they are too good or just to ditzy to do some work. i tell them they can do it and they get all upity and walk off. we work twice as hard for 6 months(seasonal) so they can make more money and we don't see anything for it. they could tips us once in awhile, they make 150-300 a shift, but they don't and complain when we don't jump to do their bidding. i don't care anymore, i look out for me and do what i have to do to make the gm happy so i get a raise and earn my paycheck.

Hah... if you think that's bad, you should hear the specifics on mine. The girls at my job complain because they're expected to do reasonable work. Nothing extra mind you - just reasonable work. One complains about how there is so much paperwork etc... but she doesn't realize that the paperwork is only "so much" because she nitpicks about everything in it.

The office manager complains about two of the agents, and those two agents produce twice as much as everyone else on a monthly basis. Wtf?

If anyone should be complaining it should be ME for having to troubleshoot their Macs whenever they screw something up (not in my original job description). Sigh. I bet they all think they deserve raises too.

Thank God I make more than all of them.

Lifter, I'm not the boss unfortunately. If I were, I'd be bringing out the whip and get people working. If my programming were commission-based, I'd be busting my ass all day and only be complaining about not enough work... but it's the opposite. I get paid hourly and I sit there trying to finish everything quickly even though I'm underpaid, while they get paid by commission and whine a lot about how there's too much to do.. ARGHRR!!!
