I am deciding between Greece, Italy and Amsterdam.

Each one has its advantages, I wish I could afford to go to all three. LIke a month in each place.

been to italy so i wouldnt go there again.. was very nice but always wanted to go to amsterdam.. where in italy were u looking? southern italy has the beaches but are absolutely packed during the summer!

Not sure where in Italy. I would want to see the collesium and such, but I also want to get out into the country side. I am thinking south end toward Greece. Visit the ancient sites that have to be hiked to as opposed to seeing from a tour bus.

Same for Greece. South Greece to visit Sparta and the surrounding country

amsterdam is more of a party scence i hear.. if ure looking for site seeing and beautiful scenary id definately pick italy or look into spain.. spain is fucking amazing!

Yes, I know why about Amsterdam. I haven't decided if I want to spend 19 days partying or being more constructive.

what about a few days in a couple of different spots, they're in the genral are, aren't they? Isin't like going from L.A. to San Diego to San Francisco, etc, distance wise?

I thought about that, but I don't think I would have enough money for that. I could go every six months to a spot and spend quality time there. A friend of mine's birthday is one day after mine in January and she suggested Monte Carlo for our birthdays.

Italy bro.. hands down, so much to see and do there... Amsterdam is only one city, and a small one too. Greece is boring as hell, besides the beaches and the ruins

It depends on what time of year you are planning to go.

If summer, i would choose Greece. 19 Days will give you time to see some of the ruins and also get in a couple of the islands. There are some great things to see in Greece like the monastaries of Meteora, Delos, Zagori, sparta, Minoan ruins of Crete........these are less touristy places and great sites. The more notable islands include, Rhodes, Crete, Santorini, evia.....all beautiful islands.

Greece and Italy are at their best in summer. I wouldn't go to either in winter.

I'm assuming we all know that Amsterdam isn't a country as the poll suggests, but aside from that, I would definitely think Greece would be the best "vacation spot" in the true sense of the word. Many of the islands and r&r spots in the mediterranean to visit. Italy would provide a close second, with Amsterdam perhaps the best place to actually travel to in my opinion.

Italy has got it all..
Going from the north to the south from the central areas to the coastline.. its like visiting several different countries with different food and cultures much like the US..

Mtns/Alps, Hills, Plains, Sleepy Sea side villages, History, FOOD OMG,
Women, Friendly peeps, , more Food, Wine, Awesome Churches, Art, Architecture...

on and on..

Ha of course you guys know ol Frenchie is going to jump in here.. Italy's cool.. spent a week in Amsterdam before I got to school here.. 7 nights in Amsterdam is WAYYYY fuckin too much.. I think I was completely worthless that week.. Smoked about 20 joints a day and spent a couple hundred Euro.. Ate my ass off because every piece of food there looks good.. and you'll know what I'm talking about if you go.. and got a few knobbers from some hookers.. Went to a sex show as well.. don't waste your money.. I watched some chinese guy pretty much act fuck some girl.. Seriously.. worst sex I've ever seen, and then they kick you out.. Totally not worth it unless you get drug up on stage for an intermission thing.. which is interesting.. prepare to get your face humped and an asshole jammed in your face.. feminin of course.. possibly a boner on stage when they lay you down and just grind all the fuck over you.. only three people got selected per intermission though out of about 50.. I was drunk and really high and somehow got selected..
Greece, I havn't been.. I realllly reallly wanna go though.. thats next summer I guess.. There's a lot of places to go in Italy.. Venice, Rome, Florence, Sicily, and faarr farr more.. If I had 19 days to spend in one place.. Italy.. but in my situation, since I've been around.. I'd go to Greece.. I don't know how the Greeks are when it comes to being friendly.. I went to Italy with some Basic conversation skills.. Just be polite and they treat you right.. If you know how to say Hello, Please, Thank you, and goodbye, they absolutely love you.. Amsterdam.. I got ridiculed the whole time by every person I met because I look like a football player.. and you know.. to them.. Soccer is more of a sport than football.. I just shrugged it off.. Italy you may fit in more.. Still everyone's pretty small..

Depends what your looking for..

Japan.
better sushi than italy. and the eel is probably fresher.
:)
but, otherwise... amsterdam.

Unless you are a white blond all american boy, don't go to Amsterdam for whatever perverted reasons some want to go there.

Beautiful beaches of greece all the way. I am sick of Italy's overrated landmarks.

white blonde all american boy???

haha.. um.. im white.. with a mohawk.. of dark brown hair.. and i'm not an all american boy.. obviously since I live in France currently.. so whats the deal???

Hey dood.. damn I forgot to pm you back!

i'd go to amsterdam and travel to some other places from there, but use that as home base.

i would go back to italy so I could see all that i didnt get to see while i was there....it is weird there and unfortunitaly when i was there i didnt open my eyes to its beauty!!!!! but i would like to go back soon

Hey girl...My original plans were Italy, then Greece. My friend suggested Amsterdam and another suggested Monte Carlo. I am leaning towards Italy, with a side trip to Greece. Maybe this fall. Still nice weather and not a lot of tourists I would think. I could be wrong though.

I went to see/meet the people and hike the country side (not into "party" scenes) learn about the country.

I feel this connection to the area of Italy/Greece. Like I have been there before, only way in the past like ancient Roman times or earlier. Can't explain it, but that whole time period seems very familiar to me.

Monte Carlo? What the hell would you do there? That is pretty elitist from what I know, so unless you have lots of money and connections I don't see the point in that. Italy & Greece sounds like a good plan though.

italy is nice but i voted greece. u should try out crete (i think thats how its spelled its an island south of greece

I have thought about going to Crete, etc. Checking out the islands, etc. I don't really know muc about (well I know nothing) Monte Carlo. A friend of mine suggested it. I am l am undecided about Greece/Italy. Maybe I can find a way to work both in over a month or so.

Monte Carlo is just a brash city for the rich and famous......not musch to see other than cruise liners, ferrari's and ridiculous displays of wealth.

You could do Greece and Italy in a month.

Greece is a small country and most of the sites/ruins tend to be clustered around the southern end of the country (Sparta, Olympia, Delos, Minoan ruins in Crete, sounio, parthenon, santorini) etc, so it's not too difficult to see most of the important sites in 15 days.

Italy.. Ive been to Rome & Venice- great food, wine & stuff to see. I havent been to Amsterdam- but if your a single guy lookijng to get laid every night this is a good call.

i haven't been to any of those places, but i am most interested in rome. if you love art and architecture, that has got to be it (not to take away from the other places).
