TO imply that because the founding fathers were christians they built religion into the constitution is ignorant. The old boys were very clear about the intentions of a solid seperation of church and state. I am a solid conservative and find the fact that some religious types want their beliefs to become the universal standard by which all laws were based and derived from as preposterous. As a republican with a strong religious background I respect the atheist's and the buddhist's rights as equal to my own under the laws of this country and the way they were framed. We have enough trouble from religious extremists in the mideast ... we don't need this shit in the USA too.
