Which One Are You?

This is a photo by William Booth called "Who Cares" it has religous undertones but i thought the point of the photo struck a cord with me. While looking at the picture ask yourself which one are you? Are you the person drowning in the water, trying to help the ones in need or minding your own business while people around you are dying?

For me I feel like I am on the verge of drowning and trying to help people, tho I sometimes feel I could do more and for that i am just minding my own business.

I would say that I would be right in the thick of things trying to help. Really though people are in peril around us everywhere. If we are not volunteering our time and efforts regularly, in real life, then we are letting those around us drown, right?

I think I'm the guy lying on the end of the platform extending my hand. I dont know though. Helping people often comes with a price, I think i'm pretty selfish sometimes.

i took a bunch of tramadol or ultrams or something. but i'm not supposed to do that. ....

Well, not really. If something hurts, it hurts. It's hard to be stoic when something like that never lets up on you.

anxiety is just as legitimate as the pain and can even cause physical pain. Don't be too hard on yourself. Do you have a good psychologist?
