I'm looking at a 2000 or 2001 with about 40,000 miles on it for any of them:

1) Acura Intergra
2) Mit. Eclipse
3) Toyota Celica

Thanks!

The Acura and Toyota are both on the list of 'best bet' used car buys in the new Consumer Reports buyers guide.

Depends on model

Personally my faimly has done right with Acura, though strong arguments can be made for all of them

I dont like Celica so bang for the buck I would go for the Acura or Eclipse

Thanks for all the help guys, I hit you all up with Karma. I like the looks of the Integra a lot, but every one else seems to think it looks plain, like a Camry/Acccord type car. Right now I guess I'm leaning towards the Eclipse, but I could really use more info. Fogg, how did the Eclipse do in that Consumer reports guide?

The eclipse is SOO much uglier than the celica. Check out the Celica's interior...its' sick! Much better car IMO. Plus, it's a 4 cyl. putting out the same HP, just about. You get just as fast a car and save gas. Just make sure you find yourself a GT-S.

IMO, most of these types of cars are pretty played in the eyes of the saavy modern young driver, but since you've made the choice to pick one, make sure whichever one you choose sticks out from the million other people that have them (IN A GOOD WAY). Sticking out doesnt require a giant yellow sticker or double wing. :D

That being said, of the 3 cars above in the years you requested, the Acura is probably going to be the most expensive. You can find a 00-01 Eclipse for $9-13k and the Celica is probably similar, you might be able to find a good deal.

The Celica is a 1.8L 4cyl engine that puts out 180hp. You figure with a few decent mods, it'll realistically be around 200. Quick, zippy little car.

The Eclipse comes in both 4 cyl & V6 models. The V6 is fairly fast, the 4 cylinder is no slouch, but not nearly as quick. The Eclipse is actually a fairly heavy car (3400-3700lbs I believe) so that becomes a speed problem once b/c onces you add amps, subs, and a driver you're looking at 2+ ton car and that will slow the 4cyl down. My friend has a 00 4cyl and it tops out at 125 (stock). I believe it may have a speed governor. Most come with a good spoiler, so no real need to upgrade that if you were planning on it.

Well, I'm going in tomorrow to get a 1999 Integra with 28000 miles on it for $11995. Any last advice? The $11995 is the internet price, what do you think I should be able to get it for? Thanks again guys.
