Whey protein to fast?

Does whey protein digest to fast to be beneficial only after a workout and first thing in the morning. Didn't that study by Biore say whey lasted only 2 hours. Aren't we supposed to eat something every couple of hours anyway to make the best gains. If you are taking in nutrients every couple of hours wouldn't whey be fine or is it better to have a blend of micellar casein or egg or etc. By the way what is the difference with micellar casein and other caseinates?

Yes, whey protein digests too fast to use as food, that's why it is a supplement. Best time to take whey is after a workout w/ water, other than that eat real food. I personally add it in my oatmeal for flavoring, but that's it. It's best to eat about every 3 hours. Good food choices are tuna, chicken, turkey, lean ground beef, steak (in moderation), cottage cheese, eggs, and so on. Only time you want to use whey as a meal is if you absolutely have no other choice, and also take it w/ milk also to slow down the digestion of it.

Whey does absorb fast and is great for after workout meal. Whey doesn't give you the full feeling like Casein. So take casein (mixed w/ whey) as your meal replacement shakes. This will hold you until your next meal (2-3 hrs later)

I use it first thing in the morning, too, to immediate end my fast.

For meals, I'm a recent convert to OptiPro because it blends whey, casein and egg--plus vitamins and enzymes.

yes Whey is very fast acting buy very peaks high also. 6 pack and I just argued over powdered protein over food. Your best bet w/ the whey would be Take a shake 1/2 way in between every meal. If you can manage that. Or get a protein blend that has casein in it which is very slow releasing protein. Just do whatever you have to do find ur right diet plan
