Where would you go camping?

Okay, you have all your gear: tents, sleepingbags, pillows, fishing poles, .45 (for protection), air mattress, your cash, your cooler, 3 or 4 days you can go anywhere and spend a couple of nights.

Just picking one, I would say the Guadalupe River in San Marcos, TX.

Southwestern Montana/Eastern Idaho.

Please pick a specific camping spot, not two whole states LMAO!

Yosemite? Sounds real cool, but I will always have my piece ;)

You wont be reading about me, "3 sick bastards kidnapped Sh4dowF4lcon and he was found dead" uh-uh nope. You might read, "3 sick bastards broke into a camp and tried to overtake the campers, but F4lcon had hollowpoints in his.45 and blew all three of their heads off". "He was issued a citation for having his firearm in the park, but it saved him and his family's life".

 been there, done that. Yellowstone River almost ate me :)

If I had like a genie in a bottle choice, I'd hike and camp someplace I've never been before, like British Colimbia, Ural Mountains in Russia, Bavaria, or Washington State :qt:

If you have never been to the Ozark Mountains, a float trip down the Buffalo river is awesome and yes you can bring your piece.

Peace

Famous for small mouth bass right? I have spent many hours in the Ozarks. Usually up around Bull Shoals, Mountain Home, Flippin areas. We fish the White River two or three times a year. I have stayed at Gastons a few times and Sportsman's Resort another 2 dozen times. The Buffalo is beautiful. I think it is a National River or something? Goes through a National Park or something like that. Yes, I do love the Ozarks, but I haven't floated the Buffalo. The Guides and Outfitters I ddescribed earlier do camping trips down the Buffalo. 2night etc... pretty pricey.

Ozarks, good call.

I'm planning on hiking/hunt the south side of Mt St Helens, in Washington State, for deer season. Fish for a day at one of the high lakes and hunt/hike out.

I really want to go north of the mountain this year too. It gets tough because the roads are usually closed. I asked a guy that files a helicopter if he could or would drop a few of us off in the blast zone. But it is forbidden to drop in unless you can get a pass from the state. I am thinking of taking a video camera for a documentary. I hope to get a pass and get in there.

Alaska IS awsome in teh summer - just remember it never really gets "dark", just dusk (kinda strange the first time you experience it!). I still like the canyon for hiking - challenging and just plain breathtaking at various times during the day. I've never been during the winter though...

And there are tons of flying bugs out because they only have a month
to get it on before winter hits again..

Several places - Eastern Sierras in CA, panhandle of Idaho, along the North Umpqua River in Central Oregon......too many to name.
