Where was the forth plane headed.

i mean they took out our biggest financal buildings, then they hit our most powerful military center, but where was the forth one headed. i definatly think the pilots crashed the plane on purpose into an empty field, but being a pilot my self, on the other 3 planes, the terrorists had to have had their own, very well trained pilots, no american pilot would fly those planes into the buildings, and kill inocent people, they would have downed the planes elsewhere.

I agree with you 100% They HAD to have had there own well trainind pilot as I don't think any US pilot would do such a horrific thing

my dad works on a base 80 miles from where it hit. the plane was supposedly heading towards that base, i dont ktnow the name. the rumor on the base was that the pilot crashed the plane to save lives

yup, i suspect the pilot, flight crew and passengers combined made the ultimate sacrifice... at that point in time they were probably all well aware of the events that had unfolded...

i had heard that the plane was headed for either the petagon, camp david or the whitehouse... its uncertain if we'll ever know where though

I heard the plane was headed for camp david. It would make sense since these people obviously want to start a way - get rid of camp david and get rid of middle east peace talks.

If a US aircraft did shoot down the planr, I sure feel sorry for the person who pulled the trigger. I can't even imagine what he has to be going through, killing 67 of your own brothers and sisters on purpose? Even if it is to save thousands...

First Theory: Plane was taken over, did not communiacte with FAA officials and was shot down.

Second Theory: Pilot and crew ditched the plane to prevent further loss of life while giving up theri own.

Some people say the plane was headed for Camp David which might have been a possibility however if they didn't know where the President was - it waqs basically a crap shoot if they were headed to CD.

The plane that crashed outside Pittsburgh could have also been headed to the FBI building in downtown Pittsburgh since this is a huge training and processing center.

The U.S. say's they didn't shoot down that 4th plane, but I think differently. You're absolutely right that they had their own pilots, good pilots too probably. Doesn't make sense that they'd crash in the middle of nowhere. I think they were headed for Chitown, possibly the sears tower. When they shut the transpoder off it gave away the plane was hijacked, so the military took it out.

Exaxtly what I thought, they also found out it was hijacked when one passenger called from the bathroom with his cell phone. So shooting down a plane and killing a handful of civilians is better then the plane taking out another vital building along with more people I think

I saw on CNN today that a guy called his family and said he took a poll on the plane to see which men wanted to attempt to overpower the hijackers...so most likely that had something to do with the plane going down

The 3 guys that new they were going to be killed attact the hijackers. One of the men was on the phone with his wife and he told her they were going to try to over power the people.

if they took control of the plane, whyd they crash it, were the origianal pilots allready killed, and if so, why didnt they try yo fly it to the nearest airport. those planes can land themselves through gps and a controlled landing. and air traffic controller could have explaned what to do to get the plane on auto pilot, and then get a controlled landing.
i just cant see why they would crash it if they did take control of the plane.
