I think I am....to be anylitical at this juncture would drive me to insanity so everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It's completly out of my hands and not having that control can really demoralize someone......

LOL!!! I just found out I have to put the treadmill together. I thought I would be able to slide it out of the box and plug it in.

My tool box (aka junk drawer) contains the following:
A phillips head screw driver
A flat head screw driver
Some funky looking wrench thing that came with my IKEA book shelves

I don't even have a hammer. My bf and father are 800 and 400 miles away, respectively. I have to go to Home Depot once it arrives and buy the proper tools. WTF??

This is when that whole "independent, I don't need a man" attitude really sucks.

DON"T GET A HAMMER.
i mean, you can get one, but you won't need it for the treadmill unless its made out of wood and nails. in which case, its probably not so good.
the ikea wrench is probably only good for ikea stuff- also not treadmill friendly.
get an adjustable wrench. although the treadmill may come with its own tools- wait to see what you need. a small screwdriver won't do you any good if the screws are big.
