Where are all the heavy-weights??

I just went to another area NPC show, my third one this season (I only competed in one as an open middle-weight), and was amazed to discover that the same guy was the ONLY guy in the heavy-weight open division in ALL THREE shows. He looked like he was pregnant and was very unsymmetrical. Shit, if this is the case, I'll eat and grow like motherfucker this offseason and try to make this class. Is this the same scenario in most NPC sponsored shows?

I am planning on competing in the middle weight division soon and was wondering what your stats were for the competion. You know weight hieght BF% and so on. I would also like to know the weight cut of and start for all divisions. Thanks

Most NPC shows are divided into 6 weight classes; starting with bantam and ending in super-heavy (>220). But there seems to be some exceptions in reality, for instance in 2 out of 3 of the shows in my region, the bantamweight category was absent. I'm not sure what the weight range is for other regional contests, but at least in my show the middleweight was 184.25 lbs. I came in around ~ 4%, weighing ~179 lbs at 5'6" (substantially heavier and fatter during offseason); probably going up to 186 after carb up. I was also holding water, which along with my lack of hamstring striations probably put me in at 2nd - I primarily used L-dex, Proviron, and halo to harden up (should of, would of, could of used tren next go around). I was pleased with the results, and hope to learn from my mistakes, and tear it up next year. Good luck, and feel free to ask me any questions.

No disrespect to the 'shorter' guys but you'd be much better off staying in the middle weight class strictly due to the heigth differences. If you come in at max weight you will look much more impressive in the middles than as a heavy. If you ever get on stage and stand next to a 6ft at 250 or so you'll see what I mean. 5'6" at 250 you would still look too small.

You have to be kidding right? 6' 250 lbs next to 5'6 250 lbs he would look to small WHY right now I'm only 213 at 5'6 1/2 and I have 6'4 friends that Ive trained with that are not a big as I am and there 20 lbs heavier than me when I was 220 lbs and my partner was 220 at 6'1 I still was bigger except for his height. hmmmmm maybe I misunderstood something.

I would have to disagree. I have stood on stage next to tall guys that out weighed me and I looked bigger and I smoked there asses. Every inch takes 10# of lean mass to make up for it.

ya bro, can't agree with you here. now say your 6ft 265lbs compared to a 5'6 225, thats a different story.
