When to start my cutting cycle?

Long story short: Planned to start my cutting cycle on March 1, but was sidetracked due to an emergency appendectomy and abdominal hernia surgery on February 14th. Finally got back into the gym lifting today, March 26th. This is a week earlier than the doc recommended, but I'm tired of feeling weak and like a fat ass.

Pre-surgery: 5'9 198 lbs, 10% body fat.

Post-surgery (6 weeks later): 5'9, 190 lbs, around 13% body fat (kinda splurged on the diet).

I have a 6 week cycle of test prop, EQ, and tren. I've done this short cycle several times in the past and have had amazing results. I've gotten down as low as 6% body fat and I was absolutely shredded. I'm just not sure when to start up this time because I'm def not 100% right now (more like 65%). I'm taking it really slow and lifting extremely light for the next 2 weeks until I can get back to where I was before and so that I don't blow out the hernia again so soon. Any advice would be appreciated!

where was your hernia?
When I had mine repaired it was in the belly button so I just wore a belt there when I went backe to the gym. I took 2 weeks off. It never became an issue.

Id wait 3-6 month min. Thats me u have your whole life to cycle y fugg it up!? If you do then your maybe in anther surgery and out a year! Just wait ull body will tell u when then just wait an extra two months to be safe

now i dont know all the details of your surgery and what not ... but..

you might be really crazy to be lifting sooner than your doc recommended.

I know 3 people who had surgery .. lifted too soon an ended up back in the ER..

just something to think about.

You don't want to mess around when it comes to a hernia. You should let it heal more. That being said if you really find the need to go to the gym make sure not to do too heavy of lifts or compound movements that stress the abdominal wall too much, such as squats, deadlift, military press and such. I'm no doctor but this is my advice. Low weight and high volume my friend you don't want to have to get it fixed again.

no need to rush things bro, wait it out until you feel you're ready or 100 % recovered.

Thanks for the advice. I won't rush anything. I'll make my target date sometime in mid-July. I should be back up to speed by then. If not, I'll continue to delay the start of it.

once you get back in the gym 100% give yourself time to at least get back to where you were. hit your old maxes and get back to the same weight/bf% then think about cycling.
