I would like to know if it is recommened for a woman to use creatine and glutamin and when is the best time to start using those two?

Do any of the girls here use them at all?
What results did you get?

I use both :)

2.5 gr creatine & 2.5 gr glut in morning & post WO shake

I don't think there is a certain 'time' to begin, I just started using them as per Shadow's advice

The creatine makes me feel stronger, more energized & the glut helps so you don't get so sore the next day.

HTH :)

Thanks Skittles.

I was under the impression that creatine was for men only or professional female body builders. Do you feel that your muscles become more defined with the use or creatine?

Yup - I have a very hard time gaining muslce, but it has def helped. You can check out "shadows project' sticky at the top. There are some before & progress pic there.....I will be putting up some for this week in the next few days.

Also, Trelin, Bunny, Sassy (I believe) all take creatine & glut.........check out their progress as well

Why do you think it's only for men or BB? There are many misconceptions about it - maybe we can help clear the up :)

The guys at GNC told me that creatine works at a cellular level and holds a lot of water making the muscle grow too big and it would only be of use to males or women in professional body building. The GNC staff were telling me to go for glutamine and that creatine would not be of much help to me.

I did not understand their reasoning that is why I just wanted to find out if any of you girls actually use creatine and what sort of results you found using it. I will definately check out Shadows post and your pics.

I think many people say that creatine makes you bloat......it does make your muscle retain water. None of us girls have had that problem, because we all eat a moderately low carb diet.

What is your reason for wanting to try it? You don't follow the suggested dosing schedule, you don't need to follow the 'loading' stage

I"m not using creatine right now, however glutamine is a regular part of my supps.

Oh, Sorry Sassy, I thought you had ordered some.........I HAVE to get back on track here - lol

I did order PureCEE from AF but didn't start using it. I'm saving that for another time. There's a limit to how many variables you can introduce to a diet / training / supp scheme before it starts getting convoluted and you can't really tell what's working & what isn't.

Smart Lady. :)

ALso, the GNC people were kinda right - it does bring water into the muscle, which in turn helps you become stronger - you can lift more, which can def encourage muscle growth.

But it can make you "too big" ? LOL, if that were the case, then steroids wouldn't be needed.

ANYONE can take creatine.

Creatine can help you lift more, help you gain muscle by becoming stonger.

Glutamine can help you recover faster .... awesome stuff.

I ahve never used creatine, but I ahve used gluatmine. It REALLY helps wsith recovery. I was able to REALLY push my weight workouts and HIIT without the normal soreness, plus I recovery faster, which let me push it more often.

when you get to a plateau doint everything else.glutamine is useful when your training starts to become challenging, creating when you are ready to make more progress in your workouts.

Many athletes both male and female use creatine to improve speed, power and endurance to varying extent depending on their event and/or training.

It's not purely a 'muscle builder' but taps into your energy systems to enhance your performance during training and by bringing more water into the the muscles can aid recovery and growth.
