When people 'block' you...

Sent an email out today to an AOL addy and it was returned. I had thought that they had me blocked on AIM (I rarely ever go on AIM anymore). The email came back and said "550 xxxxxx IS NOT ACCEPTING MAIL FROM THIS SENDER", "550 <[email protected]>... User unknown".

Just curious...am I blocked on AIM and it will not allow me to email them to their AOL account or is the AOL addy no longer in use?

That is exactly what it said though...(I put x's where the letter in the email addy were of course).

I sounds like the email addy is no longer in use, not that you are being blocked.

It could mean that the server was not accepting email or the box was full.

Try making up a new email address and send it and see if you get a similar message
