Actually, probably my favorite PC game ever has to be Age of Empires II.
I played the shit out of that game. I still do occasionally.

Road Rash.....a 6-7 year old SVGA game; no 3D acceleration, no DirectX.
Basically you were racing motobikes thru 5 courses (city, mtns, suburbs) and 14 other computer controlled guys would try to pass you. You could run them into cars, kick 'em, get pulled over by cops, win money and buy a faster bike.

The campaign kicks ass too, and what better way to enjoy it than go through the entire game with a buddy.
I guess it's all a matter of personal taste. I don't lust over games like Unreal Championship, Quake3, etc. because it's fun for a while, but then you realize it's all just running around shooting each other. Too monotonous.

halflife isn't too good but the multiplayer mods are great. i love DoD, counterstrike, half life multiplayer and team fortress. Love them all, best $14 i ever spent was on a half life CD on ebay.
civ 2 is a good game if im in a strategy mood. Trying to start out as the spanish in the ww2 scenario and trying to beat the nazis is fun. ive only done it twice.

I use to dominate at this game when it came out. I 'd play online a lot and I think the only times I lost was when we played teams.
I had it down to an exact art of how to get to the Imperial Age with a decent sized army before anyone else could.
I haven't played in forever though, i'm proabably awful now.
Oh well, it is one fun game to play though.

they are awsome to play....i love the navy in the first games...the ships own alot of shit out ithere
