something i keep lamenting is that children these days lack empathy for some reason.

Discipline comes from the word disciple.

It can be some of parenting but I think alot is from outside influences...the kids you hang around.

and yes, I am very proud of my son...he is so protective though. It's sweet. I came home the other day and he told me I should let him take a picture...he knows I hate pictures....I said why? He said, I'm saying you look good today. awww that was so sweet!
Now, don't get me wrong, he has his moments where I wanna smack him but that's that age

I honestly don't know why. I wish that I did. When we were kids, the girls played mommie with dolls and both boys and girls had pets for which they were responsible. I think those things teach empathy. Maybe not so much discipline as teaching kids the soft side. I think having road rage in front of the kids or otherwise being angry jerks. ???? I really don't know. It perplexes me how someone could just beat a person for nothing and not feel bad for them. I just can't grasp that.BIKINIMOM said:
