What's with Sherdog.com?

Does anyone know why in God's name Sherdog.com is not allowing new users to sign on and become a member? I mean, I thought the whole idea of message boards and forums is too garner as much interest as possible? A big WTF is up with them putting up a blockade?

I'm just the type of person representing the many others out there like me who would go to their boards to try and sign on. And what I mean by that is like alot of other people I watched about 10-15 hours of The Ultimate Fighter marathon on Spike TV culminating with last nights live broadcast of the grand finale. And I went from someone who had a mild interest in MMA to someone who is now definitely hooked!

So does anyone have any suggestions as to why they are not allowing new users?

Do they have a message board and is it as fast and fluid as Sherdog? I note that right after the Ultimate Fighter Grand Finale in Las Vegas, there were (seemingly) a ton of posts discussing last nights (October 5th) fight.
And this was at 12 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and 3 a.m. on the east coast!

I'm not impressed with that site, not yet anyway. For the life of me I can't find the damn forum. Why don't they put a simple link at the top of the page for their forums? How can they not have an easy, accessible link to their forums? Plus, it appears as if you have to buy a "Pro Membership" to get into a forum. And I note that "it appears" that way as that site is muddled and not very clearcut in allowing easy access to their forum or forums or whatever the hell they have. Very dissapointing.

Someone needs to drop a nuclear bomb on that site and have them start a new one from scratch. JMHO...

Sherdog needs to get their act together, c'mon Sherdog!!

I haven't had a pro membership in 5 years from that site, log on everyday, and find it really easily. try this link mma.tv/tuf and wait for the pop-up to dissapear, they also now have a video technique of the day. Sherdog has quite a racist contingent that posts there, or at least they used to, they also are notorious for infecting computers with spyware from downloads. But to each his own. For news and rumors fightsport.tv is really good.

Racist contingent? Lol, sounds just like New York's Rant and Rave section on Craigslist. As dumb as some of that stuff is, some of it can be kind of funny.

As for the spyware issue, I would just do what I do when I'm done surfing for Internet porn: run Adaware, and a virus scan. That's intelligent protocall if I do say so myself. What impressed me about Sherdog was the sheer amount of posts that came in right after The Ultimate Fighter 2 Grand Finale. Lots and lots of posts in the early morning hours!

As of yesterday the problem is fixed and they're now accepting new members.
Having said that, I wouldn't run off from this forum.
It's smaller, sure, but less cluttered.
I think both have their place, IMO.

I stumbled upon that site for the first time a couple weeks ago. It's good for a few laughs. Plenty of semi-retarded and illiterate folks arguing back and forth.
