What's The Problem With My Stomach?

I know the problem is not fat. For a time now my stomach has been protruding and it just sticks out. It looks like a am pregnant. I have been doing sit ups and all kinds of ab exercises and nothing seems to work. Can somebody help me, what should i do?

Well, I can assure you that sit-ups and other ab exercises are not the problem or the solution to seeing your abs. The problem IS fat. Get your BF tested. If it's 10% or higher, then cut your carbs, if you're actually below 10%, then drink more water and maybe even take some kind of duiretic, ie. dandielion root or even a thermogenic. My guess is that you need to clean up your diet, probably carbs, and do a little cardio, and having an ab day once a week. If you do all three of these, in a month to 6 wks, you'll see your abs.

Have you ever been able to see a six-pack? If not, you must keep in mind that a lot has to do with genetics. However, if you've been able to see them before and just lost it, I would go with Him1's suggestions and see what you come up with.

:D

The help is right there, man... in black and white. To lose fat,(the only thing covering up a muscular midsection) You MUST burn more cal's than you consume. To get ripped, the best bet is to cut back on carbs and do a little more cardiovascular work.

And genetics may dictate how tough it is to have a six-pack, and what the muscles in the six-pack look like, and at what BF% your abs will show, But, they will not make it impossible, bad genetics just mean you have to work harder, which is cool, you'll build character that way.

Are you bulking or dieting right now? If your bulking I wouldn't worry about it since it can be just bloating from excess food. The bigger you get, the bigger your tummy has got to be to hold the food. Requires more food to stay big.

I am not bulkig. I am at a good weight right now and i am just trying to get lean. My worst features is my stomach. Someone about 2 days ago reccomended i try fiber. It is suppose to clean out my intestines. Can anybody give me more info on this?

I'm sure it can't hurt, were you not eating enough fiber before? I would say its probably just bodyfat. It takes a while to trim away from your midsection.

Hmm, you might not get a six pack if there is little depth difference between your ab muscles and the cartilidge holding it together.

But what you seem to be talking about is muscle bulge. I had this same problem. It has nothing to do with fat - be it subcutaneous of intramuscular.

Unfortunately I don't think you'll like the solution I resorted to to fix this problem - I had surgery. You can get an endoscopic abdominoplasty which leaves only two small incisions. This form of tummy tuck means you won't be left with huge scaring.

Although I still have some muscle bulge and the gauze that remains permanently in my belly hides my lower ab muscles, it has made a fantastic difference. I don't regret this surgery at all.

If you have the type of problem I think you have then this is genetic and no diet or exercise can get rid of it, only surgery.

HansNZ, i think that may very well be the problem. Like i said before, the problem is not fat. My abs just seems to bulge and i have always had this problem. There is not much fat on the surface of my abs and i can see some of my abs. The problem is that it does not stay flat, it bulges. Thanks for you advice, i will have to consult a surgeon.
