40 hours. After about 25 hours the tiredness seems to lift and a permeable lethargy sets in. Its like your not tired but you could fall asleep in 5 minutes if you want.

I think it would have been in Marine boot camp. I don't think that I had to take a shit for several days, every ounce of energy was being used. Set a record, didn't jerk off for 3 weeks.

I average about 4-5 hours of sleep a night and usually at least once a month I go 48 hours without sleep. Sometimes I hit stretches where I skip 2 days of sleep each week. I have gone somewhere around 60 hours without sleep before.

Its not that I want to. It just sort of happens. maybe its anxiety. I hate it when its 4 in the morning and I am still laying in bed and know I will get no sleep that night. But because of the family I can't get up and turn on every light in the house and listen to music. So I lay there and hope dawn hurries.

60 hours becuase of an infected tooth. I actually started to see things at about the 50 hour point, spent most of the time on the floor in the fetal position. At one point I even tried knocking myself out with a 25 pound plate, but that only got me a giant lump on my head and 3 or 4 minutes of being partially knocked out. When I finally got to the dentist and got a shot of novacaine the first thing I realized was I was hungry as hell, then I fell right to sleep. Seeing castaway brought back a lot of bad memories

As part of my old job I had to fly to France, pull a 72 hour shift (sensitive equipment too so I had to be on the ball!) and then travel back before I could sleep.
