Whats the Deal with VISA?

I hear that buying online with a VISA will get you busted. Anyone heard of this?

Use of any service (Mastercard, VISA, Western Union) to purchase goods and/or services that are illegal in the country you reside in can lead to legal trouble.

Ever read the TOS of westernunion.com??? I'm willing to bet that Mastercard and VISA have similar Terms of Service.

Why dont you just go and get prepaid visa or mastercard. I found them at my grocery store. Cost 5.00 to activate a card!

Can these pre-paid card be purchased anywhere...like walmart? I have never seen them

they sound like a bad idea- i wounder why they were ever made. (btw i'm talking about these prepaid cards) sickos will use them to buy underage porn etc and it will be harder to trace them obv there IP adress can be traced but they can be faked its just closing another route for the police to stop the bad guys :S

They were made for people that want to purchase things online but have bad credit or don't have a checking account (yes, there are people out there like that).

There will always be ways to get around the system. People are going to use something designed with a positive purpose for their own good (legal/illegal). I doubt anyone will be truly cornered. Sort of like the wild coyote chasing the road runner.
