I prefer my vanilla protein factory milk isolate mixed with whatever whole food carb source I need. Post workout I'll blend in fruit or eat fruit with the shake. For general purpose use I blend in oat bran. MRP's typically use maltodextrin which I dislike as a carb source.
I would rather get my carbs from whole food sources because of nutrients and phytochemicals Vs. the empty calories in carb powders. I use dextrose in my workout shake due to the price disparity and it's not worth the extra cost for the benefit in my opinion.
