What's Everyone's Thoughts On Zma.

This supplement has really caught my interest lately. For the people who have used the product, please give honest feedbacks.
 
I don't feel any different when on it at all. I just use regular zinc 30mg before bed. I've heard Gluconate, and Aspartate are more absorbable forms.
 
Well first off you need to understand that ZMA isn't creatine or something that's going to instantly put poundage on you.

Realizing that, I think ZMA is by far the best zinc supplement out there.

Besides helping me sleep like a rock at night I've noticed I "feel" better on it. I assume that's from increased testosterone.

While detractors may say that if you're eating a healthy diet already you don't need zinc, I would say that unless you eat spinach and oysters all day long you aren't getting the optimum amount.

Why not just buy a bottle and find out for yourself?
 
It doesn't to much for me as far as rest goes, but it's supposed to keep test levels and IGF-1 levels up while you sleep, therefore I think it would help better with recovery.
 
One of the best OTC supps. out there, IMO. Most athletes are deficient in both zinc and magnesium, two minerals without which the body could not perform countless activies. In terms of "feeling" it work, it does seem to make me sleep better. If you don't want to take it all the time, just try it during periods of hard training, as the body becomes more depleated of minerals during these times.
 
ZMA is a Godsend for those who train balls to the wall...especially with daily split sessions.

Ensure you take enough caps....at least 4 at a time.

Ensure you take them on an EMPTY stomach.

Ensure you take them daily.

Ensure you take them at night while sleeping.

So how an one take them on an empty stomach at night? Simple. I usually eat my last meal at around 1030pm or so then go to bed.......surely i will be up by around midnight for my first nightly piss......take 4 caps before goin back to sleep.

If you do not wake up several times during the night for a piss that is a clear indication that you are not drinking enough water throughout the day in my opinon.

ABB has a great ZMA out... and like DTOX said.. i sleep like a baby :) almost as good as being on GH sleep!!
 
No difference

I tried it some time ago but can't really say that it did anything. I think if you are deficient it can really help, but otherwise it could be a waste.

I have not been sleeping well for the last few months and didn't realize that many experience better sleep while on the stuff. I'll probably try it again just to see if it makes a difference in my sleep.

Also, someone mentioned that you should use it only when you train really hard... for me (and I assume a lot of others) that is ALL THE TIME. I don't piss around in the gym and only do *real* work once in a while.
 
that stuff knocks me out and I sleep deep as hell on it. I felt much more rested in the mornings and was ready to train hard the next day
