As someone already pointed out, its like comparing apples and oranges.
Maybe you meant if you could only afford one or the other. I would pick glutamine over dextrose if you could only pick one. Dextrose is pretty cheap though, 1USD a pound. When I was cutting, I was still taking some dextrose postworkout (since you want to spike your insulin), but just a reduced ammt of it. 15-30 grams.

I would say keep doing it.
I think that even if you are cutting it is wise do have good post-workout meal. I can cut everywhere calories but not post workout. At the end it is the overall calories that count during the day.
