i just read the post 9-11 revisted and it made me think what i was doing that day, what exacly were you guys doing when this happend?

i was working in a vinyard, working construction (metal buildings ) i was drinking a bottle of wine with co-worker ( no shit ) when it came on the radio, i thought i was drunk and wasn't hearing the radio right or something, we got to listen to about 2 min of the radio when the stupid boss man turned it off and said "get back to work, you can catch the 6 o clock news" i remember wanting to bust my hammer over his f@cking head......i will never forget it, it changed my life.

Home & hungover. I didnt wake up until 2 PM EST that day, and I thought that the shit I was seeing was one of those "what if" shows. That is, until I realized it was on every channel. I went to lift that day, and there was a guy there who was so obviously Arab that a moron would have known. He kept his head pointed to the ground at all times. Changed my life too, but I got over it quick. Now that the 1 year is upon us though, I feel the same anger building up inside me.

i was actually getting laid in my bedroom before going to a class when my roommate came beating on my door, so i will never forget it for a couple of reasons

Was taking enjoying my breakfast and heard it on radio, turned on my TV and then saw the second plane live. I thought for a second it was some David Copperfield trick....

about to gon to gym, just drinking a lil water watching TV

Department of Defense Biomedical Equipment Repair school. AIT. I had just taken a test and went to the break room and the TV was on. I watched the second plane hit. It was really touching to sit and watch all that unfold in a room full of Soldiers, sailors and airmen. They released us early because the base was about to go to Threat con Delta.

I was packing up my apt getting ready to move back to Tx since I had enlisted a week before. my Recruiter called me up asked where I was and said get back soon you might get to leave earlier for basic. My mom then called me up and asked if I was watching TV and I replied with no I have no cable now and packing up my stuff...She told me what was going on and I looked outside to see people running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

All the reservist were packing up heading to Austin and San Antonio and I had to get copies of my contract so I could get out of my Lease that day. Drove down to San Antonio had lunch with a cousin who was a Gulf war Vet and the chilling thing about our conversation was him saying no matter what happens 1 yr from now I bet your looking at going to Iraq

i was on top of a roof of a building working in downtown jersey city, nj witnessing the horrific event. i remember everything like it was yesterday. we actually saw when the first plane hit because we where admiring the new york skyline. the only thing all of us said at that moment was HOLY SHIT!!! it Look like i was watching a 3--d movie

i was at school (university), when it happened.

I was suprised how few profs actually wanted to discuss it in class. Many gave the impression that they were not al all interested in the whole thing, and that their lecture was far more important.

So i skipped alot of classes.

I was driving down 395 on my way to work.. about 1/4 mile from the pentagon, I heard the blast.... man If I would have left for work even 10 mins late.. I would have been 50 yards from impact.

Puts things into perspective doesnt it?

I was asleep and my girlfriend's mom called an woke us up. We didnt believe what she said because her mom says a lot of crazy shit. I didnt have a TV so I turned on the internet but cnn.com, msnbc.com, etc wouldnt load due to all the traffic. So, I turned on my AIM and looked at the news ticker.

I was in the parking lot of my last job, listening to my stereo, when my coworker parks ave ventura like, and rushes to my window, "DOOD! some terrorists crashed in to the twin towers!" I was like what the hell is he thinking? this was before work, during the workday, our vp had restricted our radios(we usually had our radios blasting at our stations), so we were just in suspense the whole day. we were informed by the office people what was going on. it was a pretty shitty day at work that day.

that was seriously the first time I had ever heard of the world trade center. goes to show how much I go out

Same fucking thing here. I remember walking out of my class and hearing Peter Jennings saying something about an explosion at the Pentagon. I waited a listened, and a crowd formed. Throughout the day, 50,000 of my fellow classmates collected around every tv across campus. I'd never cried that hard before.

i slept late that day until the phone rang and someone telling me to turn the tv on. i stayed glued to the tv for three solid days feeling depressed as hell.

A friend called me waking me up in the morning... I turned on the TV to see the second tower get hit... it was rathre sureal.
