i was at a club on saturday, met up with a friend of mine whos is a woman, and she had her friend with her. her friend for no reason comes out with...........id never date you because you're too into yourself. i hadnt said very much at the time, but asked my friend today what her friend meant.

sooo, because i work out, and tan and generally take care of myself, this not so attractive broad wouldnt date me? wtf?

Typical female ...a lame attempt at mind games intended to put you on the defensive and force you give her the upper hand. Sadly, this ploy works more often than not. Most women realize that because most men think with the little head, all they (women) have to do is rattle a mans cage (this was a perfect example) to pique his interest.

For future reference, an appropriate response to her statement would be something along the lines of..."well, that's fine...I didn't ask."

Life would be so much more simple of women (speaking in general) would stop playing games like this, and if men would stop letting them get away with it.

FWIW, a friend of mine had this exact same thing happen to him 20+ years ago when we were both in HS...he was a monster back then (1 of the biggest guys in HS), and some girl popped off with the exact same lame bullshit..."I'd never date a guy like you, you're too muscular & "veiny" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean)...

He wound up with her the next weekend at a party, rode her like a dimestore pony then told her to fuck off. Rude?...no moreso than what she attempted to pull off.

Suppose you ran 10 miles a day everyday, therefore taking care of yourself but not really looking like it...would she still not date you?
Tell her to go out to a club without a stitch of makeup and see if she considers that to be "too into herself".
