His actual mistake was imagining he could run a Presidential campaign just like he ran all his past senate ones.
Specifically the "Im a war hero and you're not" approach. He even manufactures pseudo attacks against him just to mention once more how great a war hero he apparently was. His entire political career was built off of that three month tour.
Its the same mistake the democrats made in imagining they could force feed a NE liberal with zero charisma and a nauseatingly elitist demeanor down the throats of Americans because he fought briefly in Vietnam

I don't think he made mistakes by himself. Biggest mistake was to put him there and think he had a chance. Then having Edwards, a former ambulance chaser didnt help at all. Then he lacks charisma (Bush doesnt really have a lot more), made some flip-flops, brought the war record thing on the table (which makes this the gayest campaign ever)...

And its irrelevant whether or not they are his kids. Your comments assumed them to be. That would just be additionally stupid on your part if they turned out not to be. The uncertainty is also not license to drag in someones children simply because you disagree with them politically.

So for some reason you think you are longhorn's spokeperson?
#1 You may want to clear that with him. Last time I checked, he didn't exactly need a cupcake like you to voice his opinion. Nice of you volunteer though, even if you haven't a clue.
#2 With all the jests he and I have made to each other in the past concering the majority of Democrats being black men, he would not have taken my post the wrong way.
#3 Assuming I am a liberal was your mistake. I never claimed to be. You can label anyone anyway you wish to to help your own insecurities, but it doesn't stick.
#4 As far as weak intellect goes, you should read your post again. Spell Check is an asset you know.
