What to do now???

So i just got out of school for medical insurance and coding. I cannot find a job, everyone is laying off.

SO what do i do now?

Personal trainer, start my own strength school?
Go to school for exercise science?
Go to school for nursing?

Your field is one of the fastest growing, continue to pump out the resumes. I know they are probably looking for experience so attach a cover letter that is strong.

I am its just getting depressing. Sitting at home w/ no job. Its only been 3 weeks but i expect exellence out of myself and not getting a job yet is killing me. I mean i had a 4.0 GPA the entire time i have recomendations from my instructors.

I have sent out 35-40 resumes w/ no type of feed back.

I know, it just sucks, they expect you to have experience. Well how do you get exp. if noone is willing to hire you?


Im thinking about getting my PT Cert. untill i find a job.

My suggestion is to take it down the career office, and have one of the hot chicks there review both your CV and cover letters. There may be something that is not helping you.

I know it is a pain, but a very important part of the process.

My wife is an RN, jobs at every call, BUT, the 2 1/2 years of schooling that it took was grueling, you have to like studying, it's hard tedious shit, I used to watch her. Nothing for her to put in 4-8 hours of studying ED, she graduated w/ all kinds of honors, all everything, I think she had a GPA of 3.76 or some shit. it takes a lot of dedication, so be shure that you would lke that kind of work before making that decision....
Having to work AND do the course work would be damn near impossible and make the kind of grades she did, it certainly doesn't take that GPA to graduate, once you have that degree, as long as it says RN, I'm not shure that it would make any diference...

Depends, i could do a little job.

The more i can learn about the medical field the better. I know pretty much everything about the body that a LPN knows. So the first years would be pretty easy its that last years that i would have to study alot more. Studying is no big deal for me. I can read over a chapter and retain everything i just read. I enjoy learning, knowledge is everything.
