what to add to christmas tree???

i have heard that adding an aspirin to the christmas tree water makes the tree stay green and fresh longer.

ya'll heard this or anything else to add to the water?

I have heard this but I thought it was a wives tale. I know that my mom won't let my father take his tree down until March. She likes to draw it out. The tree looked decent too! I will find out and drop a line later.

Best thing to do is when you get the tree home, give it a fresh cut at the bottom getting rid of any dry wood, then while it's up, make sure it's got good fresh water...take some paper towels and sop up the old water once a week or else it'll be GROSS and the tree won't be a happy little tree (RIP Bob Ross).
