what the hell is wrong with my cat?

he was eating and drinking this morning before running under the couch.

i had him interested in a piece of string last night but then he tore ass under the couch again.

he feels warm.

i shut the bedroom door at night. he always holds it til morning, but i guess he couldn't this time. it happens.

Take the collar off then. Why torture him? Do they go outside? I gave up on trying to get mine to wear collars. They like to be naked...:)

your cat is trying to tell you something is wrong. My cat peed on me in the bed - had a urninary tract inf. plus slept in the litter box too. He was pissed because it hurt to pee. Cats dont do stuff like that, unless they are trying to really communicate w/ you that something is wrong. I would take the kitten to the vet -IMO. :)

gf called the vet, but she forgot to mention that this started right after the collar went on him. they said it sounds like he was spooked and he probably pissed in the bed because he couldn't get out to the litter box.

i dragged him from his hiding place a little while ago and took the collar off of him. he was kinda cool after that. he went over and started eating. as a test, i put it back on him. as soon as he moved his head and heard the bell, he went to take off but i grabbed him and removed the collar.

so i took the collar and put duct tape over the bell so it doesn't jingle, just makes a quiet "tink." he was ok with that for a few minutes, then he ran off. i don't understand this because he had tags on him when we got him and they made noise too.

in any event, i'm gonna get him used to the collar so we can tag both cats just in case they get outside. they're strictly indoor cats. they've gotten out before and completely freaked out. if it happens again and they run off, i'd at least like to know that they're tagged so we might be able to get them back.

got the kitten used to the collar. took a few days. damn cat was jumpy as hell when i untaped the bell, now he's pretty cool with it.

this is definetly a good thing cause the cats have been running down into the (cluttered) basement if we don't watch the door carefully when we open it to come down. i can hear where they are, so at least they won't get lost down here.
