i think in an ideal world we should stop buying chicken from the east, just to make an example of those bastards...they knew another bird flu was emerging yet they covered it up in an attempt to preserve what was a huge source of income for Thai's (and possibly Chinese)

they knew they didnt have the infrstructure to get a hold on it when it came out, but they did it through greed anyway. and now these dicks are just apologising on TV...they SHOULD be tried under international law for negligence

Of course one of the anoying things about how the western world works is that businesses will never boycott Thai meat as it will drop in price, the thai gov. will just let all its chicken farmers die of hunger rather than help them and we could technically cripple a country.

If it was to mutate where it could spread to the US, basically becoming able to transfer from person to person since the usually doesn't import chicken from China, the world would be fucked. We'd be talking a worldwide plague killing millions and millions of people.
