I believe hoodia is very effective at suppressing appetite, no experience with that though.
I will say this though... if you cut your cals gradually and space our day out into 6-8 small meals.. you should never really be hungry. You might give in to a temptation, but not out of hunger. I've cut from 4k+ cals a day down to 2k a day flat and really I've never felt hungry or deprived along the way. Just a thought for ya.
