What should I see when I aspirate?

I know that blood indicates a vein or artery but what are you supposed to see when you aspirate and the injection is correct ? Maybe an air bubble? Nothing? Appreciate any help.

If you rip back on the plunger hard enough, you will get an ab vacuum much like Zane used to do.

LOL!
ya just an air bubble... damn hitting an artery and your will certainly get a shooter!!

I thought, if hard enough, it would be my own personal couple cc liposuction. Much cheaper than those surgeons and you get to do it yourself which makes for a great weekend. ;)

I do that technique on both shoulders each Friday night so I have a Redneck Facelift when I hit the clubs.

so if you pull back a little and you see blood then hit another spot?

And What if you never aspirated before and you just hit the vein and injected..then when you pull the needle out blood starts gushing out?? lol

let me know, and Thanks in advance

should only see bubbles.....no blood. :qt:

it sounds stupid i been shooting for some time now and before it was just glutes..Now I rotate bis, tri's, and delts. It always seems like i hit a vein either in my bicep because the lighting is bad lol or delts because i just dont see them. I never aspirated but i guess i'm gonna start doing it now. It actually happened today with my delts but I am kinda used to it.

So final lesson for me is if i pull back and i see blood...throw that away and make a new shot and shoot somewhere else? !!!

Thanks in advance!!

I shoot in my quads now...easy. Pull out if you see blood and try again. :coffee:

I hate aspirating, its starting to get harder with delt and glute injections, because of all the twisiting around.. Thighs are my favorite spots, you have the most area and at least you can see what you are doing, and aspirate.. But you should see little tiny air bubbles..

You simply give the plunger a gentle tug. If you're in a vein the syringe will quickly fill with blood as your body's blood pressure will push blood into the barrel. If you don't see blood when you aspirate you're fine.

bingo. :coffee:

Do thigh shots hurt more than glute shots?
