What should I eat postworkout?

protein / carb in one shake

I use a shake called muscle fuel and it consists of 42 grams of pure protein and 53 grams of carbohydrate.

I have had good results from it and prefer it to pure whey shake post workout as it is equally important to ingest good carb hand in hand with protein to aid in absorption and recovery of fatigued muscles. I follow with a protein meal an hour after.


What do you all think about this non " whey only" approach.

Read my original reply to your message. It covers everything, including my assesment that fruit is not good postworkout. Liquid dextrose and/or maltodextrin with or followed by whey in the quantities described in my reply is what you should consume postworkout.
