What Should I Do With My Life!

shibs

Stay frosty
Guys I'm at a cross road right now. I'm currently in school for radiology, but I'm not sure if that interests me anymore. I am interested in the science/chemistry aspect of everything. I know I'm going to get a degree in something (now or later), but I have no idea which direction to go. Honestly fitness and nutrition is my passion and I would love to do something regarding that; there's just not much out there that I've seen. I wanna have a successful life, make over 50k a year. I just don't know how to get there and be happy! Honestly, I was thinking about joing the service next year to help me figure shit out. I would make a lot of money. I don't have anything stopping me from that anymore.. I need some career advice here guys! Share with me your experiences etc. :)

Now gimme a minute to put on my sarcasm helmet :p :D

I am guessing you are pretty young. Tell us how old you are. What don't you like about radiology? What did you expect it was going to be?
What have your other jobs been? The more info you give the more people may be able to help you. Gladiator is looking to start a website if you wanted to work with him :)

why not still go for radiology, cross degree (btw radiologist?? or radiology tech?) and work in an intregrated sports medicine place??

theres a ton of them around here...they do everything from traditional medicine- fitness-sports performance enhancement (scripted gear)-homeopathic medicine-accupuncture-massage etc etc..

theyre like...everyones dream collection of medical professionals and paraprofessionals relating to sports/fitness under one roof

oh, and have you shadowed anyone in the field to decide its really maybe not your thing??

Radiologist.

I'm only 22 right now, and idk I mean treating cancer just never really interested me, it was just kind of one of the jobs I was considering that I could actually go to school for. That integrated sports medicine place sounds awesome, I've never heard of them. It would be amazing to be able to have a job involved with sports enhancement. Those jobs sound like they require 6+ years though of school which I'm not so sure I could cope with lol. I was looking for a 4 year degree. Actually I was planning on being a pharmacist at one point but pharmacy school is so damn competitive. I'm not dumb, but I'm not close to a 3.8 gpa either lol. I'm intrigued by what you're talking about though.

hahaha I heard about that actually, maybe I should go into web design or something :D

oh and nan, i'm only a couple years. still time to change my mind.

I've been contemplating that question alot lately too and know how stressful it is. anyways good luck finding you answers.

don't u wish u had a nice crystal ball to see into the future to guide your decisions in times like these?lol

PA would make 20k more per yr for same amount of schooling as PT.

that was my original goal...but ..something derailed it :)

here 4.0's don't get into pa school 9but your choices are like...yale and quinnipiac, or springfield..which takes all their undergrads first..he mentioned not being a 3.8 gpa

and its a 4 yrs degree plus 2.5 yrs...6.5 yrs...mentioned he didn't want to do that

but I can't think of anything where undergrad makes 50k plus..or even how thats a living wage to be honest

Right now my gpa's sitting right about 3.0. I checked that site out and it looks really awesome! I would love to be involved in something like sports enhancement or nutritional enhancement. I think I'm gonna ask my advisor about some of this stuff.. I just need to know what kind of degree I need to pursue to get into something like that. Thanks shirlene this has seriously helped a lot

basically i'm trying to pursue a BA that allows me to do something i love which is sports, nutrition, supplements, etc. anything even related to those would be great lol

and as far as my strengths go i've always been good at the sciences like chem, biology, and actually computer shit
