What really fascinates you?

Since I can remember I've been fascinated by colors and how they are effected by different types of light. I had taken a few color theory courses at School of Visual Arts and I still now use what I learned in practical use in my work.

Favorite natural light - Northern Lights
Favorite form of colors - tones of color and some tints

I never use a pure value of color because it lacks depth.

.........and I'm all about depth.

People..........and how they always think they are right despite other opinions being equally as valid. Not to mention their ability to believe in things despite them being totally illogical.

The fact that at any given day or hour of EVERY business day there is a buyer for every seller and vice versa.

undoubtably the universe and everything to do with, does it end, the amount of galaxys, extra-terrestrial (sp?) life... MIND BLOWING!

Kids. They aren't cynical and jaded yet. The way they view things and react sometimes can make you question why you look at things the way you do. Sometimes you can learn a lot from a four year old.

Ok people.

Why do these thing fascinate you?

Renaissance artists? Well ... look at da Vinci for example. He was brilliant. Incredibly talented artist. He had countless other talents as well. He came up with ideas for inventions hundreds of years before they were actually created.

Michelangelo was another one. Anyone who can carve marble as flawlessly as he could stands above the rest, IMO.

Countless others ...

I just like to hear the details....

Not questioning the reasoning.

;)

people, the fact that every single person in the world has their own unique story to tell and how we will never get to hear 99.999% of them

also the unexplained or unexplainable

Anyone who impacts the behavior of large groups.

Also, kids and their wonderfully innocent view of life.

i like cults/interrogations/mind manipulation/etc because its fascinating to see how much power one human can have over another. just basic mental manipulation can cause most people to torture another person pretty severely. Ive read stories about individuals who were brainwashed in cults who were willing to kill their own families for the cult. Pretty interesting that people can change that deeply inside.

i like entrepreneures for their independence. they seem to survive by their wits rather than the rest of us who go to college and try to ass kiss our way into a job. seems like entrepreneurs make the world fit them while the rest of us make ourselves fit the world.

So independence and power are what fascinate me about these subjects.

I had worked for a real estate company that had sent us to an Anthony Robbins seminar and I have to admit he really can make you feel like you could fly. I still get flyers from his marketing staff and I still wonder how he could have taken an entire crowd of people and gave them the belief that they could live up to their great expectations.

In regard to children - I used to teach ice skating and we worked with inner city kid often and one Sunday I was teaching a child and she ran up to me just before she left and asked if I would be her mommie. I can still see the glimmer in her eyes. It took a child to be blind to the colors racism.

bright shiney objects. that move.

Genuises fascinate me. How is a person wired for that kind of intellegence? And how do they develop as children to deal with the outside world?

And how did I miss out on that?

Body language, voice inflection, blush on cheeks....it lets you know someones true feelings

underworlds and their ethics

normalcy and deviation, rules

sex

perception and reality, especially regarding consciousness and physics

Nature, everything about it. The way a tree can become the most beautiful piece of artwork, you would swear that an artist had bent or shaped it. The way the wind and water can carve statues out of rock. It is a very spiritual event to just take a walk in the woods and just look at nature's art. :)

All kinds of stuff... writing software, robotics, building electronic gadgets, 3d modeling, photography. If it involves electrons or programming, I like it. :) All listed is sooo much more fun when the kids are involved. My kids are star wars fanatics and we are making a little light saber battle movie. I'm adding the special effects. The out-takes are hilarious.

Leonardo Da Vinci - that guy was interesting. I've got lots of books on the old boy.

The art of writing. Someday I'd like to write a book. On what, I don't know.

Old stuff - I'm a pack rat at heart, but I have a special place for pseudo antiques, especially books and magazines.

Flying. I've flown fast, slow, high and low. The best is fast and low. :) The second best is cloud chasing in a high performance a/c. Playing with the clouds is an awesome time. When I was growing up I checked the same book out of the library multiple times - they had those library cards in the back and you'd write your name in there. I think I was the only guy to check it out over 2 years. It was a book on how to build your own glider. I flew that glider many times in my head. Flying for flight's sake is the best.
