My philosophy is that you determine your future. 100 percent responsible.
What you visualize is what you will get. Focus on negative outcome, get negative outcome. A parallel I could draw would be what is known to the motorcyclist world as "Target Fixation" If there is a rock in the road, focus on the path around it, not on the rock. Otherwise, guess what, you'll hit the rock and fuck up things. I hit a squirrel once, it made for a very slippery rear tire since I was about half lean speeding around a corner. I had to stop and collect myself because I almost wrecked. And I was all shaky. Fortunately it only hit my rear tire, otherwise I would have decked the bike for sure. However, I barely saw it come out, so it can't be written off to target fixation, since I had little time to react. I think its safe to assume that the squirrel chose its own destiny, and fixated on my rear tire, thus, became compressed by it and sequentially spread about the pavement like country crock on wonder bread.
The moral of this story is that if you are a squirrel, stay the fuck out of the road when fast moving vehicles are coming.
