What motivates you?

whenever im feeling like shit and i need motivation ,be it while doing forced ruck marches,or just lifting more weight i think to myself- as i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i fear no evil, for i am the meanest motherfucker in the valley

works for me

What motivates me?

- The numbers on my training board
- New PR's
- Competition with the other lifters in my gym
- Visible signs of progress
- Watching the kind of weight that Hannibal moves, and thinking, "damn, I want to do that."

What motivates me....

-People that look at me and assume that because I am small I am fragile and helpless.
-People that underestimate my determination...and say things like "you can't" or "you aren't big enough, smart enough, man enough" to do something.
-People that try to intimidate me because they are bigger.
-All the daily stresses and roadblocks in life that would make it far to easy to give up, but I am to stubborn to ever consider it.
-Sometimes I am "driven by hate" for the things I won't ever be able to change, or people that have caused me pain.
-The voice of doubt inside of me that sometimes thinks..."what if they are right."

In my life, my motivation is the person that I see in the mirror and the people that are special to me.

As for the gym? I can always find something or someone to motivate me.:p ;)

Well right now what motivates me is getting back to where I was. Before my ME attempts I remind myself "you've been here before @#$%.

However once I get back to my previous level...then the real test begins. Venturing into new territory. Surpassing my previous limits is the thing that motivates me. To be the strongest person I can be that day.

And as much as I hate to admit it there are times that I pay attention to the numbers of the other members of my gym. I am only as strong as my teammates...but I do like to be the lead dog.

I know this will sound really odd, but honestly... I just don't know.

I do it because I have to, it's part of who I am.... that is the best way that I can describe what drives me.

bkmom...I was about to say the same thing. I just don't know what motivates me.

I do believe that I will be a pro someday...but I have to train every day like I am a pro...to get there. I must believe.

Bfold you WILL be a pro as one of my other close friends will soone be... for me, it is just another defining part of me, along with my humor, my status as a mother, and my oozing sensuality... just parts that ultimately define the whole.
