Which type should you use for an deep tissue infection in you delt (or anyother muscle)?

Are amoxicillin or zithromax good choices?

My advice would be to see a doctor so they can identify the microorganism. If you got yellow pus, ALMOST always indicates some staphylococcus aureus. Other cases are due to Streptococcus pyogenes or E. coli. As far as the antibiotic goes, a penicillinase-resistant penicillin. (Augementin) If you dont have pus, antibiotic should be fine...but if you do have pus, drainage is necessary. My .02.

Architect You need Keflex or Cephalexin which is the generic. Go see a doc

Kelflex is nearly worthless, it will only mask an abcess you need zitromax or augmenten. Like everyone else said go to a doctor you may need to be cut.

if the affected area is swollen, red, and sore try Augmenten in combination with heat. Try this for 10 days. The same thing happened to me and my doc advised me to try this first before he started cutting on me.

where is the infection...ass or leg or shoulder....after couple days of antibiotics if no swelling goes down it needs to be cut or if not that bad u can get away with draining it.....i had a massive infection in my thigh and drained 15ccs of fluid before it started to get better
