what is your opinion on a cheat meal?

i am cutting currently and i dont need a cheat meal, i could easily follow my diet strictly at this point, but i think it is beneficial for a cheat meal and carb up day compared to not using it around one meal a week, what do u think i should avoid it if i can or do one a week, otherwise im gonna wait for two weeks and eat whatever up in columbus in the arnold classic! any opinions on what you think is more beneficial?

also i have heard a mix of starchy carbs, and simple sugars sustains high insulin levels for the longest period of time, is this true? if so i was planning on having some pancakes with syrup for the starchy carbs and simple too?

or CHINESE FOOD ALL U CAN EAT thats like 2days of meals in 2hour sitting haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
 
There is no need or a cheat day or cheat meal as long as you give your body what it needs in good form. It needs carbs and fats... you just need to make sure they are good cabs and good fats from good sources. I hope this helps a little.

No i don't agree.

The "cheat meal" or "re-feed" is needed to keep you matabolism, stanity, and movitivation on track....

I know for a fact that my bodies ability to burn fat slows after seven days of intense cutting. When i refeed, the fat burning process starts up agian....

Super Halo Man you suck:) j/k dude cheat meals are good you cant go on eating clean all the time.......come on really do you eat clean str8 for 1yr long? without coming accross something bad? dont lie sucka:mad: heheh LOL
 
I agree with gymrat. After a cheat my body is ready to go back to "normal" and eat clean, but a cheat lets it chill for a bit and eat some yummies!! Helps me keep my focus on why I eat clean and I never have to worry about counting calories or bad fat.
Just my 2 cents...

if you are going to cheat..make it worth while...go for quality rather than quantity!
treat yourself to great food...you'll be amazed at how good food can really be.

And, by definition, you are depriving it of what it considers adequate amounts of these when you diet.
