What is your method for getting out of a down state?

I'm sure everyone here will say work out, which usually does work but I do that all of the time anyway. It's not having the usual effect.

I've hit a point where I'm losing motivation in one job and not enjoying the other too much (I do equipment sales and PT part time). I feel pressure because to keep paying my bills and hot my financial goals I really need to keep both for the time being at least. I know what I need to do is refocus and get my mental state back to where it was six months ago but I'm really struggling with it.

Do you do the positive self talk thing? Sleep it off? Take a mental health day? Revamp your goals?

Sounds like you're tired and stressed out, versus depressed. The only real cure for that is take a break and actually relax and get some rest.

You're probably OVER worked, if anything. If you can't take a proper vacation can't you take a long weekend (ideally, get a change of scenery, camping is cheap if you have the equipment) at the very least, turn ALL the phones off and sleep and veg for a few days?
