What is your favorite flower?

I love orchids. The blooms last for months and there are so many varieties, each one seems to have a personality of it's own. They're great for people with pollen allergies as most of them have no scent.

I think this one's lovely:

Others like the one below are just so freaky!

It's amazing how different they can be!

I just planted 2 jasmine plants with trellisses by my front door...it smells wonderful, especially first thing in the morning when I walk out...absolutely lovely! I put a bogenvilla <sp> inbetween them for color. I love spring!

my next door neighbor has a night jasmine vine on the fence b/t our back yards. i have gardenia and sweet olive hedges back there............at the right time of the year the aroma is awesome!!

when i get off work i'll sit outside on the back yard deck and breathe in the fragrances and sip a few and get a great buzz on!:p

I, too, love orchids. My only possible contenders would be carnivorous plants, although their blooms are not spectacular at all.

By the way, the varied forms of orchids arose in nature from coevolution. Horticulturists have created countless hybrids, though, via selective fertilization.

Very evocative use of alliteration, my good man.

Three prancing pink elephants for pretty pink flowers on a pair of edible panties.

Baoh, I see you're in Tampa too! I'm dissapointed I missed pansie planting...Feb. is the season for them here and I'm just not thinking about planting at that time! I have two crape myrtle trees that went from bare to full of green leaves last week...I can't wait for the blooms to start in another 2 months!

I only have one southern exposure window for my orchids, so I'm down to two plants sitting on my garden tub. At one time I had about 8...I miss them. I've tried other windows but they've never done well there. :(

I also just planted a gardenia...we'll see how it does. We have a lot of deer here and they eat everything while I'm sleeping. So far they've left the new plants alone...keeping my fingers crossed!

Flowers?

I can remember the last time I got some flowers...and it has been a long time.

Flowers are just sweet to get...I don't think that it really matters what kind that they are.

You know...if you hold a buttercup under your chin and your chin reflects the yellow, it means that you wet your bed at night. :o

I don't know the name, but they are usually white, shaped like a upside down cone with one area of the opening in the shape of a tear drop. I think they are from hawaii.... I don't know, just know that they aren't cheap at the florist. My g-friend says Daisies.
