I enjoy doing deadlifts the most. Your whole body is hit hard with deadlifts and you increase strength in muscles that you normally wouldnt hit.

Drinking that big frothy shake at the end of a job well done.

I think the most satisfying has to be deadlift but it always scares me a little to begin the first rep on every set. I always imagine that my torso is just going to slide off my legs about half-way up. The worst that can happen with bench or squat is that the weight just keeps going down and stays there.

I enjoy pretty much everything. My least favorite is squats, but I do hit them hard. Chest is fun and deadlifts are a blast because your whole body feels pumped. Farmers walks are absolutely killer and very effective for the traps and forearms. People stare at you wondering what the hell you're doing, but they are the ignorant ones.

this past weekend I was doing them in an empty parking lot next to a huge field by a school. I was there realy early cause I wanted the space to myself. in the middle of doing them some old chinese guy, who was out for a Sat morning stroll, walked by and just stared at me laughing. I wish I knew what was going through his mind.

I agree... Deads are great and farmer walks also really pump me up

I do my squats but have to admit, I dont really liek them

but for me...

1- Deads
2- DB Shoulder press
3- Pullups

What would be a good weight for farmer's walk?

Dave

It really depends. Different weight classes with farmer's walk weights ranging from 180 to the 300's. You really gotta get out and try em with different weights. The weight balance/distribution of the actual implement and the grip are big factors. Either way - they are fun as hell!

While deads and squats are my two most important exrecises that I do, I would be lting if I said they are my favorites. My favorites would be:

Incline BB Press
Weighted Dips

Top Bottom
