What is your fav RPG of all time?

I made a little over $3,000 with Ultima Online and Ebay in when I was 13

I still play @ great lakes

I started 7 years ago when just after UO came out

That's awesome. I played on great lakes for a few years. I started pretty much right when it came out.

I bet the game is a lot different now, right? It was awesome right when it came out w/ little to no safety zones and no punishment for PKing. It was straight chaos everywhere, that's why it was the greatest game. Exetremly competitive so you had to form groups to protect each other. I wish I still had time for games like that but I get addicted to them and it's not really heathy.....

My favourites are Bloodwych back on the Atari ST and Legend. Legend was surely the seminal work which gave rise to Diablo and other clones as technology moved on.

Bloodwych was the first two-player RPG, as I recall. It rocked.

I think the biggest difference between now and the old days is the uopro stuff. They have all these applications that you can use along side uo that are "legit" to use

They paid alot of respect to asia as well and added classes such as ninja and samurai (bushido) and added asian style clothing and houses. They added necromancy which is kinda kewl too. You can turn into a vampire and life drain your opponent , lol

Interesting...I'm sure it's quite different from when I played. When I first started playing I used 3rd party programs to be able to pre-cast and use potions w/ the touch of a button....about a year later UO introduced it 'cuz they know it was inevitable.....

When I mentioned I made over $3k....it was all maco...I leveled a minor up to GM, I would leave my computer for days at a time and come back to 10k ingots.....shit...that's why I had to stop...I got banned

Was great though...It was during a time period when I was grounded (8th grade...for smokin weed)......can't think of a better way I could have spent my time....

I don't think they care about unattended macro-ing anymore. it's such business that I think the GM just put monsters around areas where people macro so they'd get killed... I've done it alos myself.

GM is not so high a level anymore. They have power scrolls and stat scrolls. You can have 25 more stat points and 20 more skill points
so you can be a 120 miner now instead of a Gm 100 miner and with 25 more points to spread around str , dex and int.
