I'm climbing Mt. Whitney in 2008. Highest peak in the 48 contiguous states!

I'd love to do Denali. Don't have the technical expertise for that though.

Yeah I did it with my team @ the time. So of course we had to start off @ like a jogging pace @ like 5 a.m. I had to take a boo boo @ the beginning so I got left behind along with the biggest dude on the team. Probably the biggest mofo ever to make it to the top LOL! (6'6 350 something).

Our coach had a torn ACL and bad knees and still beat like 10 dudes to the top.

Top roping is a good start, you are in a great area if you want to get into it seriously. Climbing is a whole sub-culture.

Just have some bouldering to do this winter indoors, have a place about 1/2 mile from me and hope to find someone to do some ice climbing too.

My sophomore year I got stuck on the 3rd pitch of the Bastille crack, Edorado canyon, waiting for the climbers in front of us. Night fell and we had to climb and rap down while search and rescue looked for us.

yeah, I plan on doing more hiking and I love scrambling. Trying to stay away from having to get a lot of gear.

Good luck with that, I am on my 3rd round of ropes and gear. Have to find a new steady partner, my buddy got scared off the rock after getting stuck at night and I have only been with a few other people climbing since. It scared the shit out of him though, whole personality change.

nice, ive never been to wyoming

that is where I'm from, if you ever go get a hold of me because I know all the secrets. That is very important there, to know where to go otherwise you will end up in the middle of the damn prarrie down by Cheyenne.

Are you really coming up to rainier? Come have a drink with me when you do, I'm in spitting distance.

El Capitan

It's only 3000 feet, but it's vertical and real brutal climb.

Not like climbing up a never ending hill.

Used be be into climbing big time... 18-22 or so...

Ive climbed a few, if i had the money i would train and try to climb everest even if it killed me

i wouldn't climb it, too dangerous and weather too variable.
