What is in counterfeits?

I don't know if this has been asked before (I'm sure it has) but I haven't been able to find much on any search so...... What is typically put in counterfeit gear? I understand that often times it is cooking oil or maybe watered down gear but has anybody heard of any cases where they put anything dangerous in the amps?

I guess it would depend on the counterfieter, some of them might be the real thing, just copies..
