For the glute 23g 1.5 inch
For everywhere else 25g 1 inch

I used 25 gauge in the glutes. No pain and it still goes in. Just had to push harder.

I use 25g 1 or 1.5, depending on bodypart. Like Biteme said, you just have to push a little harder.
