What exactly are steroids made of?

Just wondering what kind of alcohol is used in steroids, that makes them hurt so much when injected. Also, what kind of oil? I have always wondered this.

I know the cyp I used before was in cottonseed oil as per the insert. 200mgs per ml dissolved in sterile cottonseed oil, maybe we could make some cypionate french fries

As mentioned above cottenseed oil is one delivery vehicle. You also have aqueous solutions, and depot preparations where the steroid molecules are suspended in solutions such as ethylene glycol or peanut oil(same application to the above mentioned cottenseed oil).BA content can often effect injection site irritation,as can crystallized suspensions, and particular esterified compounds(particularly propionates and acetates).

In regard to esterfied compounds, I've seen bill roberts make comments about this. He attributes the soreness experienced in users from propionate preparations to additives such as certain preservatives and/or antibiotics. He says that he knows for a fact that propionate does not cause soreness, because of his ussage of self-made preparations using pure test propionate.
