Face piercings on men are a total turn-off for me (always have been) and other than a nose pierce or "mole" for women is also a turn-off for me.

I had my navel pierced 3 times (long story - had to get it redone after my second pregnancy then done a third time as it was not done properly the 2nd time). I like it THAT MUCH.

I got my first pierce (with the exception of my ears - those were pierced at 1 month of age - Easter European practise) and tatt at age 35. I got subsequent pierce and tatt 36/37.

Funny, nobody EVER brings up my nose pierce. Truthfully, it is hardly ever noticed but for compliments for the authentic Indian jewelry. As for my tatts, one can only be seen if I am wearing a bathing suit (it is on my hip) and the other pierce and tatt can only be seen by my hubby) .

I had my nipples pierced for almost 10 yrs. I took them out about a year ago, because every n00b was getting piercings.


But, most my friends say I fucked up when I took them out. They got a lot of women hot.

The Old Grump has no piercings OR tatts... something about being an army ranger or some such.

As for the correlation between pierces and character/personality I honestly don't think so. My ex only got the piercings because I dared him to. I wanted a tattoo in the worst way which he forbade. He came up with the notion that if he got his nipples pierced then I couldn't get a tattoo. I only agreed to it because I never in a million years thought he would get them.

I was wrong. LOL

Anyway, I found them MAD CRAZY SEXY but he took them out anyways (I guess his sideaction wasn't aroused as I was) and once I kicked his ass out I got a tatt my own bad self anyways.

Honestly, since the whole ear-piercing thing is so socially acceptable in my community to pierce any other body part to me is no different. As for tattoos OR pierces I am of the opinion that if someone is a productive member of society then who am I to judge?

I mean - I just got this big bad fancy ass executive position and I have a nose pierce, navel pierce, a more *cough* private pierce and two tattoos. (Though you don't see the pierces that are below the neck or either of my tattoos).... none of it impedes my ability to perform my job responsibilities.

I feel that it's like clothing... although when one chooses to go "extreme" they should be prepared to accept that MOST others will not be as "accepting" as I am. In other words, such decisions should be made by adults OVER the age of 21ish...
