I think it is horrible what he did, but no man should be able to kill another as punishment. He should spend his life in prison, which is no walk in the park.

I'm not the biggest proponent of the death penalty as I think it is not meted out fairly. However, some crimes are so heinous, e.g. Oklahoma City bombing, that punishment by death is a reasonable punishment.

I think it's funny how all of you get mad when Timothy McVeigh calls innocent children dead, "collateral damage," yet our government says the same thing when one of our missles "strays  " off course and bombs a bus or a chemical factory, such as in Kosovo, a very effective way of waging chemical warfare. Unfortunately, it kills more children then anything else, but of course, it's ok, only collateral damage of course...

PS- The reason he used those words is because our govt. does.

PPS- I do not agree with what he did, but I would be suprised if he even did it. And I'd be interested to see what or who goes in that 6 foot hole.

Good point Frackal.

As much as I am not in favour of the death penalty McVeigh deserves to be executed...

Maybe the FBI should get a medal for A) Catching the right guy for a change, B) Not making a complete mess of the investigation and prosecution...

hardgainer (very cynical when it comes to US government agencies)

But what about the FBI withholding evidence. I think it's a mistake to let them get away with that. What if this becomes common practice? How many innocent people will be executed?

He did not act alone ---- that we know---- Our government wants to say he did to give closure to the families that had loved ones the died----What would be so bad about keeping him alive for however long it takes for him to give up names---- This guy wanted to die but did not have the balls to do it himself---- I dont see anything wrong with a slow torcher method of getting him to talk. But to kill him would be just a waste and typical of a government that wants to sweep things under the rug!

Mcveigh's execution.

I feel that he handled it as man, and was very stoic.

However, I don't agree with his destruction of so many
lives. Hence he deserved it. I believe that if waco had never happened this would not have occurred in OK City.

The government had illegal ordenance and high explosives in the basement of the building, around 50 feet away from the child day care center. This storage of these munnicions were against local city law. The government had no right to store that stuff in that building period.

The blast of the vehicle set off a secondary blast of the
explosives in the basement and that is what the FBI
held back.

So I believe our justice system is just as guilty as he was. Janet reno should be tried as a murderer in Waco along with Bill Clinton.

Enough said.

Fuck him, he's dead now. I heard the lawyers arguements about how he was being denied constitutional rights. HAHAHAHAHAHA- what a fuckin coincidence, so where those kids and people. The right to life without being murdered for somebody's beef with someone else that doesn't involve you while you are in day care. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Fuck him. Bring him back and do it again. PPV so we make money on his ass, dead ass. Then donate it to the government in his name.
