Skim milk is 40% protein -- comparable to any MRP and much cheaper. Otherwise, go to Wendy's or KFC or Popeyes and get chicken or chicken sandwich. Some Popeyes Chicken in the my city (Chicago) are not all the same. Some have plump tenders (I'm not talking about the chicken breast with the bone which are all the same wherever you go but the TENDER STRIPS WITH NO BONE) breaded and fried, some have skinny tenders breaded and fried. I go to Popeyes at Fullerton and Damen (for you Windy City people) that has PLUMP tenders so they're high in protein compared to the skinny ones you find downtown. (Must be a different supplier) And now that were no longer deathly afraid of fat in our diet (as compared to the 1980's), why not get 6 tenders for $3 and skip any sides (i.e., carbs). Get the hot sauce to make them Buffalo-style. Mmmmmm! Or mix the hot sauce with the BBQ. Cottage cheese is good if you're THAT strict, but for a snack, at least the low fat variety, can take a long time to finish (unless you eat with bagel or fruit or tomatoes, but that wouldn't be a handy snack away from home -- cutting fruit or tomatoes or with a bagel which is high in carbs.) (Don't forget, you probably wont eat cottage cheese with your fingers so you need a spoon or fork and a place to sit and eat.) So either skim milk on the go or, for flavor, get some fast food chicken. As far as I'm concerned, when on a diet, add spices to everything!! Fresh jalapeno salsa, tabasco, whatever!! Find a good Mexican restaurant (or fast food joint) that serves lean white chicken in tacos, burritos, etc., and that has a good green and/or red sauce. You'll never feel deprived. Just lay off the basket of ccips.

Emeril ... BAMM!!!!
