would quit tomorrow, if i can find a good union job, with less stress !

I.T. weanie..... Systems Integrator

I love being the bad guy in meetings and teleconf calls.

When everyone else in the meeting is all wishy washy and I jump in there and start telling it like it is and giving my solution..

programmer. I currently do shit I hate - I would give my left nut... no the right... well, one of them, if I could make the same money and instead do encryption or game programming which I love.
if I'm going to busy all the time, I'd rather be doing something I love rather than something I tolerate.

Currently, I'm a Business Continuity Planner for a Fortune100
pharmacutical Company.
Before that... in order..... Mainframe Techie,
Pilot for American Eagle,
Photographer.

I'm also a scuba instructor on the side....for extra $$$

I love my job. I only work 6-7 days per month. I staff speciality doctors in all the U.S. hospitals.

i work for a chemical company that makes dangerous and deadly chemicals on a large scale basis. one being sodium cyanide, which is made from caustic and hydrogen cyanide(real and when i say real i mean real deadly).
its 12 hour shift work which means i worked only half the month which leaves me alot of spare time to do nonthing.

What's the Antidote you all keep handy to prevent that slow painfull death?
.357 magnum ??

last I heard - there is no real antidoate but if a human injests sulphur - then it assists the enzyme in the body that processes the cyanide in order to get it out of the system as fast as possible...

Note to self: Take packet of sulphur next I eat dinner at in-laws house..........

Thanks Scrappy!

Aren't there like 10 OTHER threads on this????

I'm a student/doorman

happy, i think your thinking of the chemical phosgene when you said it fills your lungs up with water and fluids.
HCN replaces the oxygen in your bloodstream, its considered a chemical axphyxiate.
im not sure about this but the anti-dote for phosgene is ammonium sulfate while i should know the name for the anti-dote of HCN, ibelieve it is ammonium nitrate. and copious ammounts of O2.
depending on toxicity levels(that depends on skin contact or inhalation, or ingestion) HCN exposure can be treated successfully, it has been done at my plant.
it all depends on the person and time is critical also.
that is just one chemical we deal with daily. others are carcinigens.

hmm - could be - I'm no chemist. my dad is - but not me.
one of my friends took come form of cyanide to kill himself - and I just remember reading up on it back then - but I suppose it could have been a bad source.

hope your job pays well - sounds intense!

yes it does not take much to kill you. now im not 100% about the phosgene but im sure a qiuck search would answer that, anyway

its the type of job that for the most part you are safe as long as safety procedures are followed. most everything is hardpiped.

yes for the level of education required(im blue collar) it pays extremely well.

Senior Manager for a telecommunications cabling company. It is extremely stressful, and I would quit in a minute if it was not for the money.

Canadian Armed Forces (Primary Reserve).

TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!

WEEKEND WARRIOR!!!!!!!!!!
